In the 20th minute, Adolfo Escalante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Fornos in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Ventura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, Efren Ulloa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jhonnatan Orobio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wotton-under-Edge's supporters rose to their feet, but Jhonnatan Orobio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Bermudez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Bermudez made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Shawn Anaya sent off a good shot on target. Odir Gutierrez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhonnatan Orobio in the 36th minute of play forced Redruth's goalkeeper Christian Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Escalante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Ventura having to make a save. In the 48th minute Adolfo Escalante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Ventura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jhonnatan Orobio made the kick off in the second half. Jhonnatan Orobio succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. The supporters of Redruth booed when Wotton-under-Edge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Díaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jhonnatan Orobio struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Christian Bermudez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wotton-under-Edge. Odir Gutierrez charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odir Gutierrez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Shawn Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Escalante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Elias Ventura made a huge save. In the 85th minute Angel Fornos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Ventura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Adolfo Escalante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Elias Ventura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elias Ventura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angel Fornos's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Renderos in the 96th minute of play forced Redruth's goalkeeper Christian Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Redruth eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
