Diego Llorente charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Llorente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Coleshill got a freekick which was hit by Diego Llorente. If Jhalmar Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Motagua getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ismael Alferez hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Figueroa during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Motagua got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Figueroa. Jhalmar Reyes didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 26th minute. Coleshill's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Motagua's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Rodriguez was slow to take the kick. During this time Coleshill's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Motagua's goalie and right to Oscar Aguirrez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Motagua's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Jhalmar Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Motagua's goal looked a bit too open when Yasir Villarreal came free, but Antonio Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 51 minutes, Ismael Alferez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motagua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Alferez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 minutes, Gabriel Verdugo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coleshill and the Motagua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Gabriel Verdugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvaro Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yasir Villarreal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Ramirez having to interfere. If Yasir Villarreal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Llorente struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Antonio Ramirez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coleshill. 72 minutes into the match, Motagua's goal looked a bit too open when Yasir Villarreal came free, but Antonio Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Llorente in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yasir Villarreal in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Ramirez saved Motagua from getting behind. Yasir Villarreal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Danilo Arellano fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coleshill's protests and gave Danilo Arellano a yellow card for diving instead. Alvaro Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Motagua defense, Jhalmar Reyes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Ramirez. The Motagua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Ramirez should have stopped the shot.
