The Pocklington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Ruben Rosales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pocklington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Woodham Ferrers FC the free kick. Hector Barrera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Cristian Baptista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th minute Max Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cristian Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Ladislao Brizuela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pocklington and the South Woodham Ferrers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ladislao Brizuela hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. South Woodham Ferrers FC's Francisco Gallegos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristian Baptista but with some difficulty. If Max Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Eraldo Villalobos made a precise shot to the right of Franklin Alvarenga. South Woodham Ferrers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Pocklington were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 played minutes South Woodham Ferrers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Arellano. Eraldo Villalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alvarenga having to interfere. After 58 played minutes South Woodham Ferrers FC got a freekick which was hit by Saul Talia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Villalobos in the 59th minute of play forced South Woodham Ferrers FC's goalkeeper Franklin Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Alvarez in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ruben Rosales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franklin Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo Villalobos during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of South Woodham Ferrers FC booed when Pocklington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Villalobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Barrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cristian Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Villalobos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Ruben Rosales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pocklington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Rosales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. South Woodham Ferrers FC's Franklin Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Villalobos in the 91st minute of play. Pocklington played a much better game than South Woodham Ferrers FC and deserved their victory. The South Woodham Ferrers FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
