Francisco Hidalgo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Hidalgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Francisco Hidalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Moreira having to interfere. In the 16th minute Jhalmar Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Gallegos's late challenge caught a Shireoaks FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Gallegos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to South Woodham Ferrers FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Francisco Gallegos hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Hector Barrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteban Moreira. Shireoaks FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Barrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Marvin Braun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhalmar Ribeiro in the 31st minute of the match. Hector Barrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Shireoaks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolás Aguirrez to maneuver through the defense. Jhalmar Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. South Woodham Ferrers FC's Franklin Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhalmar Ribeiro in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Hector Barrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marvin Braun made a kick off. Marvin Braun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Alvarenga having to interfere. Hector Barrera struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Esteban Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Woodham Ferrers FC. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shireoaks FC's goalkeeper Esteban Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Emerson Madariaga fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Woodham Ferrers FC's protests and gave Emerson Madariaga a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes South Woodham Ferrers FC got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Madariaga. Franklin Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marvin Braun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Shireoaks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jhalmar Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Shireoaks FC booed when South Woodham Ferrers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Espindola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes of play, Shireoaks FC's Jhalmar Ribeiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin Alvarenga was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Barrera in the 73rd minute of play forced Shireoaks FC's goalkeeper Esteban Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marvin Braun might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklin Alvarenga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marvin Braun ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Jonathan Arellano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Moreira came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by South Woodham Ferrers FC's Hector Barrera. But to his dismay, Hector Barrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
