The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Alferez was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Sifon couldn't finish the play. Alberto Umaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Ramirez having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Bowburn's Dagoberto Sifon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Ramirez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Many of Motagua's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Motagua may have spent more time on the ball, but Bowburn were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
