With a little luck, Ateos Unidos's Oswaldo Alvarez got control of the ball when Fidel Brizuela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ateos Unidos's Oswaldo Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennys Gutierrez in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Victorino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oswaldo Alvarez. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Odir Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Vinosis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oswaldo Alvarez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fidel Brizuela went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute Saul Vinosis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odir Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dennys Gutierrez was the one to do the kick off. Saul Vinosis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Odir Cruz having to make a save. When Oswaldo Coria fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ateos Unidos's protests and gave Oswaldo Coria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Oswaldo Coria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Libardo Castaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Easingwold United's Fidel Brizuela in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ateos Unidos's goalie prevented a goal.
