Spectators: 5996 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) Alvaro Villatoro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Ladislao Talia fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's protests and gave Ladislao Talia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Ladislao Talia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's Rony Barragan got control of the ball when Rolando Guardado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th match minute, NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Del Carmen to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Guardado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rony Barragan. NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Rafael Alas could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Rony Barragan however easily saved by the left post. Rafael Alas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rony Barragan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Venganza's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Erazo came free, but Joselito Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Alvaro Villatoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venganza's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Villatoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Barragan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes of play, Venganza's Rafael Alas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rony Barragan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Alas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Rony Barragan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venganza. Primitivo Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joselito Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alvaro Villatoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rony Barragan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Villatoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joselito Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Alfaro in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Rafael Alas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rony Barragan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Primitivo Alfaro was the one to do the kick off. Joselito Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Alfaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Omar Erazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Max Del Carmen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes, Venganza's Rolando Guardado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rony Barragan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venganza reached it. 65 minutes into the match, NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Villatoro came free, but Rony Barragan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venganza's Joselito Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Venganza from getting a goal against them. Omar Erazo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rafael Alas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Erazo might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joselito Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omar Erazo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS defense, Alvaro Villatoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Barragan. The NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Barragan should have stopped the shot. After 89 played minutes Venganza got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Moreira. Primitivo Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Joselito Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Venganza got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Campos. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Venganza fans cheered their team off the field, for while NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
