Spectators: 6796 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1796, VIP seats: 0) Earlestown United's Edgardo Oporto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Will Giron charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Will Giron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ponteland's Ulises Arango played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Oporto in the 13th minute of play. If Edgardo Oporto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Oporto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Arango read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Will Giron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Will Giron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Arango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Chavez charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Chavez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Ponteland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Chavez to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Earlestown United's goalkeeper Sarbelio Garay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Guerra. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Will Giron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Earlestown United's supporters rose to their feet, but Will Giron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Arango breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edgardo Oporto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Bonilla in the 36th minute of play forced Earlestown United's goalkeeper Sarbelio Garay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Bonilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 42 minutes, Edgardo Oporto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Earlestown United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Oporto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Will Giron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Bonilla to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Earlestown United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Uranga to maneuver through the defense. Sarbelio Garay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Bonilla in the 54th minute of play. Will Giron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 66 in the game by Will Giron from a close distance when the talented Ulises Arango managed to make a qualified save. Ponteland's players were relieved. Will Giron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ulises Arango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edgardo Oporto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ponteland's Ulises Arango was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Earlestown United booed when Ponteland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Ponteland's goalkeeper Ulises Arango had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Will Giron. Edgardo Oporto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute Amilcar Orozco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Alvarenga during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Ponteland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponteland's goalkeeper Ulises Arango, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Bonilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sarbelio Garay having to make a save. When Gilberto Bonilla came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ponteland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Bonilla couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
