Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgardo Orobio started the match with the kick off. Finglesham United's Edgardo Uranga got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Uranga got free with Ulises Arango in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Bonilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Hinguanzo having to interfere. Ulises Arango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Orobio in the 14th minute of play. Armando Hinguanzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Bonilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Finglesham United's Edgardo Uranga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Arango narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Bonilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Hinguanzo having to interfere. Edgardo Orobio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Medrano was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute Edgardo Orobio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Arango saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Finglesham United were awarded a corner. Elias Paz went to the cornerflag to take it. Gilberto Bonilla hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ulises Arango showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Orobio in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponteland's goalkeeper Ulises Arango, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 played minutes Finglesham United got a freekick which was hit by Odir Ancheta. After a rather tough play, Finglesham United's Odir Ancheta got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the game, one of Ponteland:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ponteland:s Ulises Arango showed great skill when he stopped Elias Paz:s penalty. 88 minutes into the game, Finglesham United's Elias Paz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Arango made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Edgardo Uranga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ulises Arango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Bonilla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Armando Hinguanzo 98 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Finglesham United had won after a very even match.
