With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudy Valenzuela in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Villanueva saved Antigua Guatemala FC from getting behind. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Antigua Guatemala FC's Edgardo Madariaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Cabrera to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Madariaga in the 69th minute of play forced Bacup FC's goalkeeper Omar Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Baptista's late challenge caught a Antigua Guatemala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
