If Salvador Lovo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Antigua Guatemala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Sifon to maneuver through the defense. Chichester United's Carmelo Duarte was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgardo Villanueva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 28th minute, Emiliano Cabrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erick Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Edgardo Madariaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antigua Guatemala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Madariaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chichester United's Orlando Del Carmen got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erick Corpeño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Del Carmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edgardo Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Erick Corpeño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Del Carmen in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Villanueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Antigua Guatemala FC's zone, Salvador Lovo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Villanueva came out of the goal and Salvador Lovo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Erick Corpeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Villanueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Rivero kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes in the game, Salvador Lovo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Antigua Guatemala FC's Arturo Santana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nelson Machado but with some difficulty. In the 86th minute, Salvador Lovo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chichester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Sifon in the 90th minute of play forced Chichester United's goalkeeper Nelson Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
