Evaristo de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Navarro in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Esterillos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Elvis Murillo. After some careless play in the Esterillos AFC defense, Fabian Morera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olman Villafranca. The Esterillos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olman Villafranca should have stopped the shot. Olman Villafranca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Formerio's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Evaristo de Lara came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Esterillos AFC's Nacho Ayala. But to his dismay, Nacho Ayala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Fabian Morera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Celso Peralta hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Esterillos AFC's zone, Placido Formerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olman Villafranca came out of the goal and Placido Formerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Placido Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olman Villafranca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Formerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Olman Villafranca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nacho Ayala made a kick off. In the 52nd play minute Miguel Navarro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Evaristo de Lara. 2-2. 56 minutes into the match, Esterillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Formerio came free, but Olman Villafranca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Placido Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olman Villafranca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Esterillos AFC's zone, Fabian Morera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olman Villafranca came out of the goal and Fabian Morera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Morera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olman Villafranca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Morera's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Esterillos AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Nicolas Pacheco hit a great ball. Lucas Pinto hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, DESTROYER's Emiliano Jara seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emiliano Jara the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of DESTROYER protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emiliano Jara had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. DESTROYER:s Evaristo de Lara showed great skill when he stopped Abelardo Porras:s penalty. 74 minutes into the game, Miguel Navarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Evaristo de Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute, Esterillos AFC's Nacho Ayala ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evaristo de Lara. Evaristo de Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. After a rather tough play, Esterillos AFC's Miguel Navarro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Esterillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Formerio came free, but Olman Villafranca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Placido Formerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Placido Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olman Villafranca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Navarro got free with Evaristo de Lara in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, DESTROYER's Jaime Acuña got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Ayala in the 93rd minute of play forced DESTROYER's goalkeeper Evaristo de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although DESTROYER had been in control for most of the match, Esterillos AFC still came away with the win.
