In the 7th minute Irvin Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Gamboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Sibaja scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Serrano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andrei Lankaster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Reiner Bermudez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Serrano. Los Chiles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reiner Bermudez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Cartucho Team's goalkeeper Ronald Gamboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Minor Pineda. In the 26th minute, Darien Azofeifa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Cartucho Team's Elias Sarmiento broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 33rd minute Irvin Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Gamboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Los Chiles's zone, Andrei Lankaster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Serrano came out of the goal and Andrei Lankaster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reiner Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Gamboa was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Irvin Pinto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Irvin Pinto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After the first half Cartucho Team were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Andrei Lankaster made the kick off in the second half. Ronald Gamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Minor Pineda in the 53rd minute of play. Reiner Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Serrano having to interfere. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Chiles! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Guerrero during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Los Chiles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Guerrero to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Reiner Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 played minutes Los Chiles got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Rivera. When Cartucho Team's Andrei Lankaster in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Chiles's goalie prevented a goal. Ricardo Serrano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reiner Bermudez in the 79th minute. Minor Pineda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ronald Gamboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Irvin Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Los Chiles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irvin Pinto couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Irvin Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
