Perfecto Guitian's late challenge caught a Ipswich Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perfecto Guitian helped the player get up and apologised. 24 minutes into the game, Ipswich Town's Orti Melgarejo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casado Uncal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Badillo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Bizi Aspiazu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casado Uncal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lia Peiro in the 53rd minute of play forced Llostay's goalkeeper Casado Uncal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lia Peiro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casado Uncal saved Llostay from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lia Peiro in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. The attack was good, but when Lia Peiro in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some careless play in the Llostay defense, Orti Melgarejo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casado Uncal. The Llostay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casado Uncal should have stopped the shot. If Lia Peiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orti Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casado Uncal having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Mauricio Reganado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Llostay's zone, Orti Melgarejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casado Uncal came out of the goal and Orti Melgarejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 minutes of play Llostay's Perfecto Guitian was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Llostay getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Perfecto Guitian hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Lia Peiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipswich Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Lia Peiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casado Uncal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orti Melgarejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Casado Uncal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Iruleta might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cordaryal Rasines. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inocencio Iruleta ran back to his position shaking his head. Frisco Larios charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frisco Larios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frisco Larios hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ipswich Town getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Bizi Aspiazu hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the Ipswich Town players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
