After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Ilo's zone, Bembe Calzado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mincho Busvidad came out of the goal and Bembe Calzado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos Salce charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santos Salce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Club Deportivo Ilo got a freekick which was hit by Santos Salce. In the 10th minute, Marcelino Arranz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Montae Cubillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andy Mendi fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chornos's protests and gave Andy Mendi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Deportivo Ilo booed when Chornos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Mendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luzaide Imaz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Caitano Araico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Gonzáles got free with Machado Flames in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Machado Flames stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Montae Cubillo's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Marco Masses kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Montae Cubillo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Club Deportivo Ilo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Montae Cubillo couldn't finish the play. Mincho Busvidad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bembe Calzado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Videl Vuelvetoros charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Videl Vuelvetoros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Deportivo Ilo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Videl Vuelvetoros hit a great ball. Xaven Marcilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloi Sangra kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Luzaide Imaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chornos and the Club Deportivo Ilo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Chornos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bembe Calzado to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th match minute, Club Deportivo Ilo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montae Cubillo to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bembe Calzado to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Eloi Sangra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Ilo's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloi Sangra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Machado Flames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Montae Cubillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Machado Flames stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Gonzáles's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Montae Cubillo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Machado Flames saved Chornos from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Chornos's zone, Montae Cubillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Machado Flames came out of the goal and Montae Cubillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Gonzáles in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Machado Flames prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mincho Busvidad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bembe Calzado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Montae Cubillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Ilo's supporters rose to their feet, but Montae Cubillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Machado Flames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Antonio Gonzáles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Machado Flames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chornos's Bembe Calzado got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
