Etor Villarinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcelino Caban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Melendez FBC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Etor Villarinos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Jago Sandianes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huananabe FC's Fernando Villaquilambre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pio Eiros in the 33rd minute of play. Mateus Ventura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fernando Villaquilambre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mateus Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melendez FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Ventura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Villaquilambre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Mateus Ventura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Villaquilambre. Huananabe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateus Ventura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jago Sandianes made a kick off. Huananabe FC's Fernando Villaquilambre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Huananabe FC from getting a goal against them. If Jago Sandianes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Caban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sendoa Miranes in the 56th minute of the match. Marcelino Caban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etor Villarinos in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Pio Eiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melendez FBC and the Huananabe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Melendez FBC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pio Eiros hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Huananabe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jago Sandianes came free, but Fernando Villaquilambre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sendoa Miranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Mateus Ventura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melendez FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Honrio Aparicio might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Caban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honrio Aparicio ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Villaquilambre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jago Sandianes in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Melendez FBC's zone, Etor Villarinos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Caban came out of the goal and Etor Villarinos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Ventura in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Villaquilambre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eutropio Riaza's late challenge caught a Melendez FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eutropio Riaza helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Huananabe FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eutropio Riaza hit a great ball. Fernando Villaquilambre was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Jago Sandianes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jago Sandianes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The Huananabe FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Melendez FBC's performance. The match ended with a win for Melendez FBC.
