Xavon Guinda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiriboga Maiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Leonides Usategui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Geovanny Lebrija fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quitumbe SC's protests and gave Geovanny Lebrija a yellow card for diving instead. Gloriosa Banda fUnebrera's Nestor Ilisarri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quitumbe SC. Xefe Iñarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Chicoime having to interfere. Leonides Usategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Xavon Guinda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Chiriboga Maiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavon Guinda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Xefe Iñarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carnero Olivos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Carnero Olivos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Chicoime saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carnero Olivos came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Quitumbe SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carnero Olivos couldn't finish the play. Xefe Iñarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Chicoime made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carnero Olivos in the 58th minute of play. Carnero Olivos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Chicoime having to interfere. Urtats Felipez charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urtats Felipez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gloriosa Banda fUnebrera's Urtats Felipez got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gloriosa Banda fUnebrera's John Chicoime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xefe Iñarra in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Quitumbe SC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Viviano Saes hit a great ball. Xavon Guinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiriboga Maiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Usategui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Xavon Guinda made a huge save. Gloriosa Banda fUnebrera's John Chicoime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carnero Olivos in the 91st minute of play. Carnero Olivos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Chicoime having to interfere. Xefe Iñarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gloriosa Banda fUnebrera eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
