Xove Era blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ysidro Prellezo having to make a save. 18 minutes into the game, Xove Era cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ysidro Prellezo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 minutes, Walter Folle made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Miliapolis Futbol Club's Ysidro Prellezo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Elkin Vime put in a rough tackle. In the 26th minute, one of Miliapolis Futbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Miliapolis Futbol Club. Ysidro Prellezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Folle, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 36 minutes, Salomon Gerica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.S. Emelec and the Miliapolis Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.S. Emelec's Salomon Gerica got a free kick in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Walter Folle put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ysidro Prellezo. Manuel Peart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morán Almarza in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Xove Era who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miliapolis Futbol Club's Ysidro Prellezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The C.S. Emelec fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when C.S. Emelec's Walter Folle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Walter Folle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysidro Prellezo having to interfere. A collision led to C.S. Emelec getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Salomon Gerica hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes, C.S. Emelec's Narciso Renteria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ysidro Prellezo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.S. Emelec reached it. Filipo Zurica's late challenge caught a Miliapolis Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emelec walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
