With a left leg Marco Zalaca saved Guerreros del Valle FC from getting behind. A collision led to Guerreros del Valle FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cagua Cadaval hit a great ball. If Cotera Perdiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreros del Valle FC's zone, Cotera Perdiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Zalaca came out of the goal and Cotera Perdiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cotera Perdiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Zalaca was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When Perlaza Baptiste came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Guerreros del Valle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perlaza Baptiste couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Perlaza Baptiste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Guerreros del Valle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cotera Perdiz came free, but Marco Zalaca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cotera Perdiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roldan Gainzarain in the 36th minute of play forced Guerreros del Valle FC's goalkeeper Marco Zalaca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Perlaza Baptiste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ambrossi Mendialdura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Cerillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Cerillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guerreros del Valle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perlaza Baptiste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Leonel Cerillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreros del Valle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Cerillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrossi Mendialdura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched NERV football club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
