Oncebi FC's Dalmu Cardeñosa managed to work through Portugal.F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dalmu Cardeñosa dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal.F.C.'s zone, Dalmu Cardeñosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bohórquez Sotelo came out of the goal and Dalmu Cardeñosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Fontoya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bohórquez Sotelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leon Fontoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Leon Fontoya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oncebi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Fontoya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bohórquez Sotelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Leon Fontoya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Portugal.F.C.'s Bohórquez Sotelo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal.F.C. from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Fontoya in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bohórquez Sotelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denis Guion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bohórquez Sotelo having to interfere. Bohórquez Sotelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Fontoya in the 33rd minute of the match. Bohórquez Sotelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandez Luey's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Bohórquez Sotelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Fontoya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Leon Fontoya recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bohórquez Sotelo. Leon Fontoya showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Romulo Trevino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
