The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Alberto Velaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Flavio Arvelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oretga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Arvelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. España Caban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zilar Portillo in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yoel Udoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Velaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over España Caban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Velaz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alberto Velaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Velaz got free with España Caban in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. España Caban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Arvelo in the 19th minute of the match. When Zilar Portillo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Liga de Loja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zilar Portillo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paúl Alcubilla during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zilar Portillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. España Caban came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Oretga FC's Alberto Velaz. But to his dismay, Alberto Velaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Americo Paderniga during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oretga FC's Yoel Udoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zilar Portillo in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Oretga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paúl Alcubilla to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Sarria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Yoel Udoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Arvelo to make the kick off. Alberto Velaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without España Caban having to interfere. Zilar Portillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Yoel Udoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yoel Udoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Sarria in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Liga de Loja's Isaias Espineiro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Flavio Arvelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oretga FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
