The supporters of Shalapa SC booed when Apunte GOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysmael Bayon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urti Berdugo's late challenge caught a Shalapa SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urti Berdugo helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Apunte GOL got a freekick which was hit by Urti Berdugo. Lucas Retana hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Inocencio Masses stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Zalvide's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Zalvide in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Masses saved Apunte GOL from getting behind. Marcos Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Carlos Pagan in the 24th minute of play. If Ulises Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan-Carlos Pagan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Apunte GOL's Insua Fariñas got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes, Shalapa SC's Samuel Zermeño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inocencio Masses came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shalapa SC reached it. In the 33rd match minute, Apunte GOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urti Berdugo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Urti Berdugo could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Marcos Jurgi however easily saved by the left post. Shalapa SC's Marcos Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ysmael Bayon in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Ulises Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Masses was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 43 minutes, Ysmael Bayon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apunte GOL and the Shalapa SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Ysmael Bayon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Masses was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inocencio Masses made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Esteban Zalvide sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Esteban Zalvide made a precise shot to the right of Inocencio Masses. Apunte GOL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Esteban Zalvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Zalvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Masses made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulises Murillo in the 76th minute. Inocencio Masses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Shalapa SC got a corner. Apunte GOL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esteban Zalvide ran over to the corner to take the kick. Esteban Zalvide made a great header on Shalapa SC's corner, it was just that Apunte GOL's Inocencio Masses managed to reach the ball for a save. Shalapa SC's Esteban Zalvide got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inocencio Masses made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Esteban Zalvide sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute of the match Shalapa SC got a corner. A nice corner shot did that Esteban Zalvide got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Inocencio Masses quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Shalapa SC booed when Apunte GOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Merlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Esteban Zalvide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shalapa SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Zalvide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Shalapa SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Apunte GOL throughout the match.
