Urre Caras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Ledru went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Domingo Milla kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanchez Ispuzua in the 41st minute of play forced CD Sao's goalkeeper Leonardo Cadimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Rubio Oruña left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Sao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CD Sao.
