Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yambay Tato started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when UD Zoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vergaray Pliego didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Dani Galiana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yoelvis Pereta. UD Zoo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dani Galiana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Yambay Tato might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Long Yuan De. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yambay Tato ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Paredes Campderros notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of UD Zoo's Yoelvis Pereta. Yoelvis Pereta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paredes Campderros in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yoelvis Pereta saved UD Zoo from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, Dani Galiana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Yoelvis Pereta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Paredes Campderros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Salz kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Yoelvis Pereta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paredes Campderros in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paredes Campderros to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Paredes Campderros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dani Galiana succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. If Paredes Campderros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ferrer Villamil fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Zoo's protests and gave Ferrer Villamil a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UD Zoo's Ferrer Villamil got a free kick in the 64th minute. Paredes Campderros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yoelvis Pereta came out and tried to block the shot, but Paredes Campderros slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paredes Campderros in the 79th minute of play forced UD Zoo's goalkeeper Yoelvis Pereta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dani Galiana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Bujan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Astillero del Guayas's Paredes Campderros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yoelvis Pereta. Yoelvis Pereta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Paredes Campderros hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Long Yuan De stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Remolina's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Astillero del Guayas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
