Texeira Frecha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Galanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reyes Mendaza hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Salomon Gallaiztegui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Texeira Frecha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes S.D. RAYO got a freekick which was hit by Luis-Antonio Vuelva. If Lucio Ucedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guamán Arramendia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Unzueta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Papa Frita Futbol Club booed when S.D. RAYO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Unzueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chico Galanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to S.D. RAYO getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sebastian Fasgar hit a great ball. Texeira Frecha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zarbonin Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Papa Frita Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Unzueta came free, but Guamán Arramendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th match minute, S.D. RAYO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Mendaza to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Papa Frita Futbol Club's Salomon Gallaiztegui in action when he in the 48th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimmy Unzueta was the one to do the kick off. Texeira Frecha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. S.D. RAYO's Lucio Ucedo pulled a muscle in his leg after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 64 minutes, Urbano Balza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papa Frita Futbol Club and the S.D. RAYO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.D. RAYO booed when Papa Frita Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Balza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Papa Frita Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Balza to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zarbonin Giraldo in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Texeira Frecha saved S.D. RAYO from getting behind. After 71 minutes, Zarbonin Giraldo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. S.D. RAYO's Texeira Frecha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, S.D. RAYO's Jimmy Unzueta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guamán Arramendia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zarbonin Giraldos short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Texeira Frecha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 84 minutes into the game, Xicu Echaez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Texeira Frecha. Xicu Echaez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Sebastian Fasgar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Unzueta in the 90th minute of play forced Papa Frita Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guamán Arramendia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarbonin Giraldo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Texeira Frecha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Texeira Frecha made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Alonzo Andibidria sent off a good shot on target. Papa Frita Futbol Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
