Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urrutia Chavarria in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Parayos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, Urrutia Chavarria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Orlando Parayos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTI-ÑAN's goalkeeper Orlando Parayos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orlando Parayos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urrutia Chavarria in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in INTI-ÑAN's zone, Gustavo Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Parayos came out of the goal and Gustavo Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Siete de Octubre's Urrutia Chavarria in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye INTI-ÑAN's goalie prevented a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Marco-Aurelio Sota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Orlando Parayos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urrutia Chavarria in the 36th minute. Urrutia Chavarria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Orlando Parayos came out and tried to block the shot, but Urrutia Chavarria slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 37th minute. Angel Echarri kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urrutia Chavarria to make the kick off. Fausto Sotres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaiver Anderica, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Marques Grandas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Sotres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Siete de Octubre fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! In the 58thth minute of the game Urrutia Chavarria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTI-ÑAN's Orlando Parayos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Sotres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marques Grandas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Siete de Octubre's Vellito Loaisa was substituted for Urrutia Chavarria. After a rather tough play, Siete de Octubre's Mendoza Truebano got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vellito Loaisa in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Parayos saved INTI-ÑAN from getting behind. Vellito Loaisa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Orlando Parayos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vellito Loaisa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Siete de Octubre booed when INTI-ÑAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Echarri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vellito Loaisa scored 3-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Parayos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Marques Grandas made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Sotres. Siete de Octubre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Siete de Octubre's Vellito Loaisa in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 96th minute Siete de Octubre were awarded a corner. Ascencio Vicuña went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ascencio Vicuña almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INTI-ÑAN's Orlando Parayos did a great save. Orlando Parayos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vellito Loaisa's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Siete de Octubre's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
