Salvadore Velasquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lordi Burgoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the PALU ALTO F.C. defense, Ramirez Binas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lordi Burgoa. The PALU ALTO F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lordi Burgoa should have stopped the shot. Ramirez Binas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 minutes PALU ALTO F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cerilo Galarza who took care of the corner kick. With his leg Lordi Burgoa managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Chorrillos FC's Ramirez Binas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Urti Pinilla kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Ramirez Binas in the 84th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind PALU ALTO F.C.'s goalkeeper Lordi Burgoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. PALU ALTO F.C.'s Samuel Almaguer got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Estefan Rozano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Chorrillos FC's Leonardo Buyolo. Leonardo Buyolo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
