The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Salvatore Urrechua the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Salvatore Urrechua had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cristian Zapata had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Platon Viñas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 0-1 came in the 25th minute when Platon Viñas all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Cristian Zapata. Eguzki Povia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mercurio Caballeria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Grabiel Ramila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercurio Caballeria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Grabiel Ramila made a huge save. If Eulalio Collazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Cumaralito FC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Mariño. After recieving a nice pass, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Vito Tornero tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cumaralito FC's Eguzki Povia got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tonete Villavedon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tonete Villavedon to make the kick off. Grabiel Ramila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonete Villavedon, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Mercurio Caballeria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonete Villavedon kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Mariño during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tonete Villavedon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Zapata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vito Tornero charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Tornero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 92 minutes into the game, one of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Cristian Zapata, was totally fooled by Cumaralito FC's Platon Viñas, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 97th minute, Pere Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
