The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Colon Borinaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yiyo Pujals didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Arroyuelo FC's Hugo Villandiego shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 23 played minutes, ATLÉTICO BOGOTA's Jakue Ribera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mano Font came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ATLÉTICO BOGOTA reached it. In the 25th minute, Jacindo Cotarelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurin Uruñuela got free with Yiyo Pujals in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Yoel Hondona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATLÉTICO BOGOTA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arroyuelo FC the free kick. After 41 played minutes ATLÉTICO BOGOTA got a freekick which was hit by Yoel Hondona. During the 46th minute of the match Yoel Hondona completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Yoel Hondona a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 47th match minute, ATLÉTICO BOGOTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoel Hondona to maneuver through the defense. In the 48thth minute of the game Hugo Villandiego who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATLÉTICO BOGOTA's Yiyo Pujals was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colon Borinaga made a kick off. Hugo Villandiego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Yiyo Pujals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colon Borinaga scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mano Font, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Arroyuelo FC's Maurin Uruñuela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yiyo Pujals narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Hugo Villandiego came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Arroyuelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Villandiego couldn't finish the play. Maurin Uruñuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Yiyo Pujals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yiyo Pujals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Villandiego, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Yiyo Pujals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurin Uruñuela in the 79th minute of the match. Mano Font made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colon Borinaga in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ATLÉTICO BOGOTA's goalkeeper Yiyo Pujals, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, ATLÉTICO BOGOTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleazar Montemayor to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Villandiego recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurin Uruñuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Yiyo Pujals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurin Uruñuela struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Yiyo Pujals didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arroyuelo FC. Maurin Uruñuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yiyo Pujals having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arroyuelo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ATLÉTICO BOGOTA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
