Mikelar Villamarin's late challenge caught a Pijino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikelar Villamarin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Essence's Mikelar Villamarin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Maurilio Hita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reno Bacon in the 9th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Essence's Yader Guereño made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isias Filare was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gaspar Domao fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Essence's protests and gave Gaspar Domao a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Essence getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gaspar Domao hit a great ball. When Pijino's Reno Bacon in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Essence's goalie prevented a goal. In the 20th minute Elias Barrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurilio Hita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Franco Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pijino's Elias Barrio in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Essence's goalie prevented a goal. Reno Bacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurilio Hita having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Romo to strike the kick off in the second half. Isias Filare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yader Guereño, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The supporters of Essence booed when Pijino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorri Sabugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bizi Ibisate took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isias Filare. Pijino's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reno Bacon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reno Bacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Maurilio Hita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pijino's Isias Filare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Romo in the 78th minute of play. Isias Filare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Romo in the 82nd minute of the match. Reno Bacon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Romo in the 94th minute of play forced Pijino's goalkeeper Isias Filare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
