Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vachon Vadillos kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Santafecito Lindo's Valdo Goicoechea seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valdo Goicoechea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santafecito Lindo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valdo Goicoechea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 5 minutes into the game, one of Santafecito Lindo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 10th match minute, Santafecito Lindo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. Pastor Quer charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pastor Quer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Santafecito Lindo booed when Inter Miami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Quer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loramendi Anievas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilen Pejuan in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Vachon Vadillos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Miami fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Cedro Ganzo fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter Miami's protests and gave Cedro Ganzo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santafecito Lindo booed when Inter Miami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedro Ganzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mendebal Melic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Quer in the 23rd minute of the match. Cedro Ganzo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mendebal Melic. Mendebal Melic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ubaldo Arozamena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santafecito Lindo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Arozamena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loramendi Anievas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santafecito Lindo's Bernad Becerro got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilen Pejuan during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilen Pejuan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Mederi Cedrun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendebal Melic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match, Gilen Pejuan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Loramendi Anievas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Gilen Pejuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mendebal Melic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vachon Vadillos in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Inter Miami were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
With a little luck, Santafecito Lindo's Mendebal Melic got control of the ball when Vachon Vadillos tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilen Pejuan in the 60th minute of play forced Inter Miami's goalkeeper Loramendi Anievas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santafecito Lindo were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Inter Miami's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lizer Barraza took the corner. The corner ended in Lizer Barraza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter Miami's Loramendi Anievas did a great save. In the 62nd match minute, Inter Miami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vachon Vadillos to maneuver through the defense. Vito Resines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loramendi Anievas having to interfere. Gilen Pejuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlan Homar during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santafecito Lindo's Orlan Homar got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Gilen Pejuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Santafecito Lindo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vito Resines hit a great ball. Vachon Vadillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendebal Melic having to interfere. Mederi Cedrun's late challenge caught a Santafecito Lindo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mederi Cedrun helped the player get up and apologised. Mederi Cedrun hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Santafecito Lindo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Oswaldo Cedillo hit a great ball. Vachon Vadillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendebal Melic having to interfere. Gilen Pejuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Loramendi Anievas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pastor Quer hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter Miami eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
