Campo Lara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Txomin Mirabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Cordero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roque Biosca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Palos Varlett fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campo Lara FC's protests and gave Palos Varlett a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Campo Lara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palos Varlett to maneuver through the defense. Txomin Mirabel struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mario Cordero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campo Lara FC. Roque Biosca took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Cordero. Mario Cordero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Campo Lara FC's Txomin Mirabel got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeronimo Calderona was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jacindo Sandoval. A collision led to CA Hispano Barquisimeto getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cordarin Siruendo hit a great ball. Mario Cordero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Biosca, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Biosca was the one to do the kick off. Erruki Oyanguren kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Campo Lara FC booed when CA Hispano Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikel Gordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Campo Lara FC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Calderona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, CA Hispano Barquisimeto's Mario Cordero got control of the ball when Txomin Mirabel tried to sneak it across the goal line. CA Hispano Barquisimeto's Mario Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Biosca in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, one of CA Hispano Barquisimeto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CA Hispano Barquisimeto. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Campo Lara FC's Josue Borroel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mario Cordero. 75 minutes into the match, CA Hispano Barquisimeto's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Biosca came free, but Mario Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Txomin Mirabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txomin Mirabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mario Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Gaston Mussoll had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeronimo Calderona. Campo Lara FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Mussoll was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Campo Lara FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
