Inocente Aquejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Monasterio FC's Estevam Llorente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gamus Robires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artaldo Morante during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Joropo getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Artaldo Morante hit a great ball. Estevam Llorente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Joropo's goalkeeper Gamus Robires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Estevam Llorente. If Artaldo Morante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monasterio FC's goalkeeper Inocente Aquejano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Estevam Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Estevam Llorente to strike the kick off in the second half. During the 60th minute of the match Artaldo Morante completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Artaldo Morante a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 60th minute, Artaldo Morante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Joropo's goalkeeper Gamus Robires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 64 played minutes, Monasterio FC's Araoz Xandri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gamus Robires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monasterio FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Estevam Llorente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasterio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Estevam Llorente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gamus Robires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estevam Llorente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gamus Robires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estevam Llorente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gamus Robires having to interfere. If Estevam Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes of play, Monasterio FC's Santiago Portanares made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gamus Robires was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gamus Robires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevam Llorente, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Santiago Portanares charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Portanares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Monasterio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Portanares to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Estevam Llorente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasterio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Estevam Llorente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gora Portochao took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inocente Aquejano. Inocente Aquejano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Joropo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Joropo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
