The Academia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Academia FC's Vigil Gormaz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dantel Boix was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Xaiver Caldueño in the 13th minute of play forced Barquisimeto C.F's goalkeeper Dantel Boix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Barquisimeto C.F got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Junguito. 18 minutes into the game, one of Barquisimeto C.F:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Barquisimeto C.F's Dantel Boix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Folgueira in the 24th minute of play. Dantel Boix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vigil Gormaz went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Dantel Boix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vigil Gormaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Dantel Boix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Folgueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Academia FC's zone, Rigoberto Junguito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kusko Valdero came out of the goal and Rigoberto Junguito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigil Gormaz in the 40th minute of play forced Barquisimeto C.F's goalkeeper Dantel Boix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Academia FC got a corner. Barquisimeto C.F's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emenon Hoyo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Academia FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emenon Hoyo in the 49th minute. A nice corner shot did that Emenon Hoyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dantel Boix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Abendano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hector Abendano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Lizaso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kusko Valdero having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia FC's Vigil Gormaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dantel Boix. That made the score 0-4 after 58 minutes of play. Hector Abendano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes, Xaiver Caldueño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia FC and the Barquisimeto C.F players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xaiver Caldueño kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Vigil Gormaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dantel Boix. Barquisimeto C.F's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vigil Gormaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Barquisimeto C.F's Dantel Boix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vigil Gormaz in the 70th minute of play. If Vigil Gormaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd play minute Paulo Folgueira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dantel Boix. 0-6. After 77 minutes of play, Academia FC's Urtats Tuesta made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dantel Boix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vigil Gormaz hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Abendano came free, but Kusko Valdero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Varez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Vigil Gormaz took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Dantel Boix to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Academia FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barquisimeto C.F.
