The Higuerote F.C fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Higuerote F.C's Arnaldo Escarraz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The attack was good, but when Errando Norato in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Errando Norato came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Higuerote F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errando Norato couldn't finish the play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Froila Verganzo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Escarraz in the 53rd minute of play forced Dificultad's goalkeeper Dorio Padron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lehior Lerin got free with Gustavo Abellaneda in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Higuerote F.C's Generosb Bara got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Gillermo Loaces hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errando Norato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Weterio Ozuna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Higuerote F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Weterio Ozuna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorio Padron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
