When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Gotzon Arrazola took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Senio Varandalla to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th minute, Gotzon Arrazola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Senio Varandalla, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Gotzon Arrazola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauata's supporters rose to their feet, but Gotzon Arrazola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Senio Varandalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute, Sauata's Gotzon Arrazola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 邱明德 kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Senio Varandalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gotzon Arrazola in the 23rd minute of play. When Kusko Maruri fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maracaibo City FC's protests and gave Kusko Maruri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maracaibo City FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kusko Maruri hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Fraco Rozano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauata's supporters rose to their feet, but Fraco Rozano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Senio Varandalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gotzon Arrazola came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sauata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gotzon Arrazola couldn't finish the play. Zuriko Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Maracaibo City FC's goalkeeper Senio Varandalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fraco Rozano. Gotzon Arrazola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Senio Varandalla having to interfere. Sauata's Fraco Rozano got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fraco Rozano got free with Senio Varandalla in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Fraco Rozano struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Senio Varandalla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sauata. Sauata's Gotzon Arrazola got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gotzon Arrazola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Maracaibo City FC's Zuriko Diaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Sauata fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Sauata's Gotzon Arrazola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Sauata booed when Maracaibo City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pinto Marva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes Sauata got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Canado. Maracaibo City FC's Senio Varandalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fraco Rozano in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute Mauricio Hermelando suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 94th match minute, Maracaibo City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Illanes to maneuver through the defense. Sauata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
