In the 14th minute, Vincenzo Delarosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sol Salter struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Morgan Weeks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIVERSIDE F.C.. RIVERSIDE F.C.'s Darell Clements suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guillermo Kellogg to strike the kick off in the second half. Guadalupe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alonzo Finn in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joey Gutierrez got free with Wendell Stallings in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
