After 11 minutes of play, Fletcher AFC's Sydney MacFarland made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flint Layton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aaron Sawyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Flint Layton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Fletcher AFC booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Childress didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brady Link hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Foster Butler came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Liverpool fans jumped to their feet. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Dobbins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flint Layton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Sawyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fletcher AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
