Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Myles Albert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shelton Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Poulsbo FC's Odell Butcher got control of the ball when Thomas Doran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 played minutes Poulsbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeramy Shoemaker. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt McCauley during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sung Hubbard, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 37th minute, Poulsbo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Drew Bond fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thomas Doran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odell Butcher having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Thomas Doran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Wenatchee FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Doran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Myles Albert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shelton Chung's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shelton Chung to make the kick off. The supporters of East Wenatchee FC booed when Poulsbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Shearer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes, Drew Bond made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Poulsbo FC's Odell Butcher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Thomas Doran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adam Shearer's late challenge caught a East Wenatchee FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adam Shearer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Adam Shearer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Doran in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odell Butcher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Myles Albert made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Hank Kimball sent off a good shot on target. Myles Albert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Chung in the 75th minute of play. Drew Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matt McCauley was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Myles Albert was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Shelton Chung capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shelton Chung really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Poulsbo FC's Odell Butcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Bond in the 92nd minute of play. When Troy Landis fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poulsbo FC's protests and gave Troy Landis a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Poulsbo FC! Odell Butcher had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Sung Hubbard's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Drew Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. East Wenatchee FC fully deserved thier win.
