Daron McClendon charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daron McClendon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, East Wenatchee FC's Daron McClendon got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Billy Maurer hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Lakehurst FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merle Silver to maneuver through the defense. When Matt McCauley fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Wenatchee FC's protests and gave Matt McCauley a yellow card for diving instead. Mickey Steiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Doran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daron McClendon hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When Brett Melendez came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lakehurst FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Melendez couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Dwayne Shelton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes, East Wenatchee FC's Sung Hubbard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mickey Steiner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Wenatchee FC reached it. Myles Albert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brett Melendez in the 46th minute. In the 51st minute, Drew Bond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Wenatchee FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half East Wenatchee FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Myles Albert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mason Bryant, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, East Wenatchee FC's Thomas Doran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mickey Steiner. Mickey Steiner yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Drew Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mickey Steiner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Drew Bond in the 70th minute. Drew Bond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mickey Steiner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Drew Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Javier Kelly fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lakehurst FC's protests and gave Javier Kelly a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lakehurst FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Javier Kelly hit a great ball. Dwayne Shelton kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. East Wenatchee FC's Sung Hubbard couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lakehurst FC. Thomas Doran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Steiner having to interfere. Javier Kelly took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Myles Albert. Myles Albert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 98th minute Brett Melendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Myles Albert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Drew Bond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over East Wenatchee FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lakehurst FC throughout the match.
