Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hillman's Taylor Bernal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trevor Clemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Proctor having to interfere. Ed Proctor came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Hillman's Trevor Clemons. But to his dismay, Trevor Clemons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Todd Reese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taylor Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ed Proctor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Todd Reese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geoff Arden hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Rutherford AFC's Ed Proctor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickey Delaney in the 23rd minute of play. Rickey Delaney hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Leon Franklin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philip Lujan skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Rickey Delaney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickey Delaney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Rickey Delaney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ed Proctor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 40 minutes into the match, Trevor Clemons dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ed Proctor, 4-0. Taylor Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ed Proctor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clay Dillard charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clay Dillard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rutherford AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Clay Dillard hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clay Dillard to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Rutherford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rickey Delaney came free, but Ed Proctor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hillman's Hugo Traylor got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Trevor Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ed Proctor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Clemons in the 61st minute of play. Rickey Delaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Todd Reese cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ed Proctor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Hillman's Rickey Delaney got a free kick in the 69th minute. Denver Brunson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Philip Lujan made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, Trevor Clemons cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ed Proctor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rickey Delaney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Hillman's Trevor Clemons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ed Proctor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Denver Brunson fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rutherford AFC's protests and gave Denver Brunson a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Taylor Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillman's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ed Proctor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trevor Clemons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ed Proctor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Taylor Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Rickey Delaney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Hillman were the better team. Hillman's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
