Titus Irvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Fargo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bronson Delarosa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Titus Irvin got free with Marcellus Tran in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dominic Thomson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dominic Thomson came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Lathrop fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Thomson couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Fargo getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Wesley Kearney hit a great ball. Jeffrey Mayer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominic Thomson's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Lucien Hunter scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeffrey Mayer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 43 minutes, Dominic Thomson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lathrop's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Thomson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bronson Delarosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fargo's Jeffrey Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Thomson in the 52nd minute of play. Marcellus Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bronson Delarosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Marcellus Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bronson Delarosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fargo's Jeffrey Mayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Thomson in the 59th minute of play. Hal Peoples's late challenge caught a Lathrop's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hal Peoples helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Fargo got a freekick which was hit by Hal Peoples. In the 64th minute, Titus Irvin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fargo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dominic Thomson struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jeffrey Mayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lathrop. Bronson Delarosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Kirk Sherrill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Titus Irvin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Fargo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Titus Irvin couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 85 in the game by Dominic Thomson from a close distance when the talented Jeffrey Mayer managed to make a qualified save. Fargo's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Fargo's Hal Peoples got a free kick in the 86th minute. Kirk Sherrill kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fargo had played much better football throughout.
