The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Maumee FC's Roger Presley got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The Maumee FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hal Lemon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Rocco Osborn made a huge save. After some careless play in the Maumee FC defense, Filiberto Littlejohn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rocco Osborn. The Maumee FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rocco Osborn should have stopped the shot. 3-2 became the score in the 31st minute when Hal Lemon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Renaldo McMahon took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Childress. Allan Childress dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Hal Lemon struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rocco Osborn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturtevant AFC. With a little luck, Maumee FC's Rocco Osborn got control of the ball when Hal Lemon tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Rocco Osborn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Lemon in the 53rd minute of play. Keith Cash kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Hal Lemon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sturtevant AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hal Lemon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rocco Osborn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Julio Chester made a precise shot to the right of Rocco Osborn. Maumee FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Rocco Osborn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hal Lemon in the 73rd minute of the match. Rocco Osborn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hal Lemon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filiberto Littlejohn in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rocco Osborn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rocco Osborn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Chester, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Allan Childress was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Keith Cash showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-4 in the 90 minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Sturtevant AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bryant Fay came free, but Allan Childress reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Keith Cash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Childress saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
