Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antonio Roman took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Joey Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennett Holmes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Roman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bennett Holmes having to make a save. The supporters of Boulder Creek FC booed when Detroit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Richmond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nick Zavala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randolph Doherty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rey Crockett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Bennett Holmes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Roman in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Joey Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennett Holmes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boulder Creek FC's Alvin Winston got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Randolph Doherty got free with Rey Crockett in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit FC's zone, Randolph Doherty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rey Crockett came out of the goal and Randolph Doherty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute Nick Zavala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rey Crockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Detroit FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ralph Richmond hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Detroit FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Zavala came free, but Rey Crockett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joey Cano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bennett Holmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nick Zavala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Randolph Doherty got free with Rey Crockett in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, Tyler Hays hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Nick Zavala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boulder Creek FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Zavala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Randolph Doherty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Nick Zavala made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Boulder Creek FC's Nick Zavala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rey Crockett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit FC's zone, Rodger Bloom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rey Crockett came out of the goal and Rodger Bloom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Detroit FC's Rey Crockett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Zavala in the 56th minute of play. Rey Crockett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Zavala in the 57th minute of play. Rey Crockett came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Boulder Creek FC's Randolph Doherty. But to his dismay, Randolph Doherty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 69th minute Nick Zavala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rey Crockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Boulder Creek FC's Randolph Doherty made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rey Crockett was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Boulder Creek FC's Alvin Winston got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th match minute, Boulder Creek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodger Bloom to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Detroit FC's Federico Whittaker broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Detroit FC's Rey Crockett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randolph Doherty in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Detroit FC booed when Boulder Creek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodger Bloom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes in the game Federico Whittaker after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Bennett Holmes. Rey Crockett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randolph Doherty in the 95th minute of play. Bennett Holmes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boulder Creek FC had won after a very even match.
