The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sodus AFC. The goalkeeper, Frank McNeill, was totally fooled by Olean's Vance Vincent, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Matt Huggins in the 21st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Frank McNeill kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 23 minutes in the game, Matt Huggins fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Frank McNeill having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Reinaldo Freeman made a precise shot to the right of Frank McNeill. Sodus AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 28 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Freeman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank McNeill. Sodus AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Freeman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Huggins in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank McNeill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Huggins in the 34th minute of play forced Sodus AFC's goalkeeper Frank McNeill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sodus AFC's zone, Reinaldo Freeman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank McNeill came out of the goal and Reinaldo Freeman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Elliot Compton fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sodus AFC's protests and gave Elliot Compton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sodus AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Elliot Compton hit a great ball. Frank McNeill came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Olean's Matt Huggins. But to his dismay, Matt Huggins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Matt Huggins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Frank McNeill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matt Huggins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliot Compton made a kick off. Reinaldo Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matt Huggins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Freeman in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank McNeill saved Sodus AFC from getting behind. Elliot Compton was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Sodus AFC's Elliot Compton got a free kick in the 61st minute. Reinaldo Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Frank McNeill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Henry Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olean's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sodus AFC the free kick. The supporters of Sodus AFC booed when Olean was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matt Huggins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, one of Sodus AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sodus AFC. If Matt Huggins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Freeman scored 7-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank McNeill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Timmy Stevenson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Collin Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank McNeill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olean had won after a very even match.
