The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Wilford Hutchins kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilmer Travis. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Scott Fugate got free with Wilmer Travis in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilmer Travis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilford Hutchins's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Huggins in the 18th minute of play forced Tecumseh's goalkeeper Jerrod Padgett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Reinaldo Freeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerrod Padgett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerrod Padgett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Freeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Matt Huggins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Wilford Hutchins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinaldo Freeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrod Padgett having to interfere. Henry Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrod Padgett having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Matt Huggins made the kick off in the second half. Reinaldo Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerrod Padgett made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Reinaldo Freeman sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Tecumseh getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Deshawn Jamison hit a great ball. After 67 minutes, Gustavo Wong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olean and the Tecumseh players grew even worse after the yellow card. 70 minutes into the game, Wilford Hutchins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Wilmer Travis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jerrod Padgett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reinaldo Freeman went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Wilmer Travis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilford Hutchins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Reinaldo Freeman came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Olean fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Freeman couldn't finish the play. Matt Huggins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerrod Padgett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tecumseh's zone, Reinaldo Freeman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerrod Padgett came out of the goal and Reinaldo Freeman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilford Hutchins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilmer Travis having to interfere. Wilmer Travis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilford Hutchins in the 92nd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Olean players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tecumseh.
