Escalon's Carlo Thorne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanford Kohler in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Snäll to maneuver through the defense. Vilho Korpisalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daron Bright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sanford Kohler might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlo Thorne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sanford Kohler ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Kohler in the 21st minute of play forced Escalon's goalkeeper Carlo Thorne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Wesley Carver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vilho Korpisalo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆'s Vilho Korpisalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Bright in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Glenn Hysén took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Carlo Thorne to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sanford Kohler got free with Carlo Thorne in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Glenn Hysén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Thorne having to interfere. When Sanford Kohler came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sanford Kohler couldn't finish the play. Glenn Hysén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Carlo Thorne made a huge save. ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆'s Sanford Kohler got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Escalon's zone, Sanford Kohler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Thorne came out of the goal and Sanford Kohler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Escalon's Carlo Thorne got control of the ball when Sanford Kohler tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Glenn Hysén blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Thorne having to make a save. Carlo Thorne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Hysén in the 57th minute of play. Vilho Korpisalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Carver in the 58th minute of play. Glenn Hysén took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlo Thorne. Carlo Thorne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After having played for 67 minutes, Nigel Seals managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nigel Seals was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Kent Snäll managed to get in a good position for a shot. ☆☆☆ MuLtiPle ScorgasMZ☆☆☆'s supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Snäll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Thorne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Escalon's Erik Thorpe got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Erik Thorpe off the ground. If Sanford Kohler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
