Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Escalon's Wesley Carver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Hawaii Suns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Traylor to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute of the match Sol Hinkle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denny Salas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daron Bright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathanial Stallings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Thorne having to interfere. Daron Bright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Denny Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Nathanial Stallings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Escalon's Erik Thorpe got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Duke Haney kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Dustin McIntyre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hawaii Suns's Denny Salas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Hawaii Suns from getting a goal against them. If Nathanial Stallings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Nathanial Stallings made the kick off in the second half. Dustin McIntyre in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlo Thorne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dustin McIntyres short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Carlo Thorne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 55th minute Mike Mobley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dustin McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Escalon's zone, Nathanial Stallings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Thorne came out of the goal and Nathanial Stallings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Wesley Carver put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Denny Salas. Nathanial Stallings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Carlo Thorne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dustin McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daron Bright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Escalon's Daron Bright sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denny Salas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nathanial Stallings's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Thorne read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Tanner Mays hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes, Erik Thorpe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escalon and the Hawaii Suns players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hawaii Suns booed when Escalon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Thorpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Avery Milligan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Thorne skillfully saved the ball. If Wesley Carver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Hawaii Suns got a freekick which was hit by Don Yates. Erik Thorpe hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Nathanial Stallings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Thorne having to interfere. Escalon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
