Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lanny Munoz made the kick off and thus started the match. When Kevin Silver came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Guilford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Silver couldn't finish the play. Wilfred Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Percy Trevino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilfred Barker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percy Trevino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Staley in the 17th minute of the match. Wilfred Barker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Staley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Hunters Creek Village AFC's Lanny Munoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percy Trevino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dave Staley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Hunters Creek Village AFC's goalkeeper Bob Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Staley. Mario Ciccaglione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Trevino having to interfere. The Guilford players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hunters Creek Village AFC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Staley to make the kick off. If Lanny Munoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 52 minutes into the game, Dave Staley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guilford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hunters Creek Village AFC the free kick. Dave Staley kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Johnnie Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guilford getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kevin Silver hit a great ball. Percy Trevino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Munoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Lanny Munoz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Guilford's Percy Trevino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Guilford from getting a goal against them. Percy Trevino made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Wilfred Barker sent off a good shot on target. When Wilfred Barker fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hunters Creek Village AFC's protests and gave Wilfred Barker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Wilfred Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guilford's Percy Trevino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Guilford from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Guilford's zone, Wilfred Barker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Trevino came out of the goal and Wilfred Barker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Guilford's Percy Trevino got control of the ball when Wilfred Barker tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfred Barker got free with Percy Trevino in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Guilford's Kevin Silver got a free kick in the 80th minute. Lanny Munoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Trevino having to interfere. Dave Staley took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bob Martinez. Bob Martinez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 92nd minute of the match, Lanny Munoz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Percy Trevino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 96 minutes into the match, Guilford's goalkeeper Percy Trevino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfred Barker. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hunters Creek Village AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
