In the 18th minute Lanny Munoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Tapia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lemont FC's Perry Tapia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Munoz in the 20th minute of play. Hunters Creek Village AFC's Bob Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keith Knutson in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Hunters Creek Village AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Shafer to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Hunters Creek Village AFC defense, Keith Knutson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bob Martinez. The Hunters Creek Village AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bob Martinez should have stopped the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keith Knutson was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lemont FC's zone, Wilfred Barker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Tapia came out of the goal and Wilfred Barker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Munoz in the 61st minute of play forced Lemont FC's goalkeeper Perry Tapia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Hunters Creek Village AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Knutson came free, but Bob Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lanny Munoz in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perry Tapia saved Lemont FC from getting behind. Wilfred Barker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lemont FC's zone, Lanny Munoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Tapia came out of the goal and Lanny Munoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perry Tapia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfred Barker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfred Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Perry Tapia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Keith Knutson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Jordan Singleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jordan Singleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lemont FC played a much better game than Hunters Creek Village AFC and deserved their victory. The Hunters Creek Village AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
